The new company collaborated with Lamborghini on several projects, notably the Lamborghini Diablo. In the late 1980s, Pagani began working on a car of his own design, calling it "Project C8." In 1991, Pagani founded Modena Design to meet the high demand for his design and engineering work and prototyping services. In 1992, he began working on a prototype Fangio F1, and in 1993 the car successfully passed tests in the wind tunnel of Dallara. In 1994, Mercedes-Benz agreed to supply Pagani with V12 engines. The final car was called the Zonda C12. In 2007, the Pagani Zonda F Club Sport set the Nurburgring track record – 7:27.82, and in 2010 - the racing Pagani Zonda R went round at 6:47.5.

PAGANI IS THE WORLD’S MOST EXPENSIVE AUTO

Pagani built a new car - Pagani Huayra (“Wyra” - the god of the wind in the language of one of the South American tribes and a tribute to the Argentinean racing car Huayra Pronello Ford) debuted at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. In August 2019, the Italian company Pagani updated its Huayra BC roadster, valued at least 3.1 million euros. In the design an original mixture of carbon fiber, titanium and polyamide plastics was used, which allowed to increase body rigidity by 20%. Aerodynamics have been substantially redesigned for the car - at a speed of 280 km / h, the body of the roadster generates a clamping force of 500 kg. The specially designed Pirelli PZero Trofeo R tires help the roadster withstand lateral overloads of 1.9 g (the officially announced Bugatti Chiron is only 1.5 g).
